Class 11th- Commerce

As per the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, Class 11th Commerce strives to provide a comprehensive understanding of the business environment, finance, economics, and industrial policies. Students will be introduced to the basic concepts of international trade, accounting principles, marketing, human resource management, and organizational behavior. 

They will discover how the economy operates at both the micro and macro levels. Grasping the fundamentals of supply and demand, fiscal policy, and monetary policy will enable students to understand major economic events and issues. The subject will also cover entrepreneurship as a strategy for economic development and job creation.

In the realm of business studies, students will engage with the dynamics of setting up a business, customer relations, taxation, and the role and effect of government regulations on commerce. 

Finance and accounting modules will center on the management of financial resources, capital budgeting, financial analysis, profit planning, and internal control systems. The principles of good accounting practices, as well as the ethical implications of financial management, will be threaded throughout the course.

In light of NEP 2020, the pedagogical approach will prioritize critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The curriculum will be oriented towards real-world applications of theoretical concepts, promoting an experiential learning environment. The goal is to foster a deeper understanding of commerce and its role in the socio-economic fabric of society, paving the way for future entrepreneurs, economists, and business leaders. 

It is crucial to keep in mind that while this subject equips students with a strong foundation in commerce, consistent self-study and practice are key to mastering the various aspects of this diverse field.
