The dry Thar Desert of Rajasthan faces unique farming challenges due to water shortages, unpredictable weather, and limited market access. This research looks at how digital technology can help overcome these problems and improve agriculture in the region. Using surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions with farmers and retailers from Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, and Barmer districts, the study examines the use and impact of digital tools. Key findings show that while technologies like weather apps and GPS trackers are commonly used, issues like poor connectivity, resistance to change, and limited technical knowledge hinder wider adoption. Insights from the focus groups highlight the practical difficulties and potential solutions for implementing digital agriculture in the Thar Desert. The study concludes with recommendations to enhance awareness, training, and access to digital technologies, aiming to sustainably transform agriculture in the Thar Desert.
